Italian Silver Figure of Sitting Dog

1920 - 1940
Description

This is an Italian silver figure of a dog in a sitting position measuring 3 1/2” (9 cms) tall and weighing 107 grams and in excellent original condition.

Underneath it has a variety of marks, one saying FI which signifies it was made in Florence, and it also says AG which is probably for silver, and DG which is possibly the maker’s mark.

There is also ‘fap’ which I’m not sure about and 23g which again I am not sure about.

It's a very nice figure, good quality and in lovely condition.

I wouldn’t say it is antique and it is impossible to tell the age from the Italian marks, but it certainly has some age and it is particularly attractive.
