Superb Pair of Antique Swedish Silver Candlesticks - Västerås 1856

Description

This is a beautiful pair of Swedish silver candlesticks measuring 7 1/2” (19 cms) high and 3 3/4” (9.5 cms) across the bottom.

They are marked both on the candlesticks and on the sconces with B5 for 1856 and the town mark for Vasteras.

They are also marked with the Swedish silver mark, plus the maker’s initials OWK which stands for Otto Wilhelm Kjellberg who worked from 1836-1876 in Västerås in Sweden and produced some high quality work.

Cracking pair of candlesticks, great style and pattern in lovely original condition and we have simply cleaned and polished them to bring them back to their original finish.

They have green baize on the bases to protect the surface they sit on and they weigh a total of 483 grams.
