George II Style Walnut Stool

19th century
Description

Circa 1890, very stylish George II style walnut and parcel-gilt stool. The long rectangular stool has rounded corners and gilded fore edge. There are carved gilded shells on the front and back, making it freestanding. The whole piece stands on four profusely carved cabriole legs with foliate carving on the quarter blocks and large gilded shells on the knees, finishing on bulbous ball and claw feet. On the top is large squab cushion with a needlepoint design.

Size 50cm high x 111cm wide x 48cm deep.

Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
