It is believed to have been awarded by the Royal Botanic Society to F. Wigan, Esq.

Size-7 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide.
Made by makers Yapp and Woodward, having very clear hallmarks, and an attractive rattail to the reverse.
A fine example of an early Victorian butter knife, which could also be used for pate and the like. It will be an impressive piece on the table or make a lovely gift.
In very good condition.
