Description

Birmingham 1942 very elegant English hallmarked solid silver square compact by makers E.J. Trevitt and Sons.

Engraved on all sides including the invisible jewellers hinge, this is a wonderful compact.

Cast gilt foliate thumb catch opens lid to reveal bevelled glass mirror, and pale gilt interior.

Size-2.25 inches square by 3/8 inches high.

Weight-heavy at 95 grams.

A really lovely and stylish compact which is wonderful to use for loose powder, as a handbag mirror, or a pill box.

In very good condition.
