George II Style Walnut Gilded Stool

19th century
Description

Circa 1880, George II style walnut and gilded stool. The rectangular stool has a handmade needlepoint top over a deep apron with carved and gilded scallop shells on all sides, and a stylish Rococo carving on the top of each corner. All standing on four carved cabriole legs, with gilded shell carved knees and swags beneath, finishing on realistic ball and claw foot. Good colour and patination, the stool is sturdy and sound, very stylish.

Size 45cm high x 57cm wide x 45cm deep.

Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
