An Extremely Rare Newcastle Georgian Silver Sherry Label. Female Silversmith.

An extremely rare Newcastle silver wine label, dating from c1805. This beautiful example has a shaped, reeded border, 'Sherry' engraved in the centre. It is supported on a belcher chain and has the advantage of being made by a female silversmith. Newcastle silver is always sought after and this wonderful piece will appeal both to collectors and would make a practical gift idea.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Often small items were only part marked and this piece has the Maker's mark, Sterling lion and duty mark

Date :- Newcastle c1805.

Width :- 5 cms (widest point).

Height :- 3 cms (highest point).
