This is a late Victorian hallmarked sterling silver vesta case. It was assayed in Birmingham in 1900/1 and made by T H Hazlewood & Co.
It is of typical design with bright cut engraved all-over acanthus leaf decoration and a monogram. It has a striker to the base.
It weighs 44g. It is in used condition with some general wear. The hinge works okay but where the lid meets the body there is a gap of about 1mm at the back. There are some small dents.
All items come with free shipping throughout the UK. They will be sent using a recorded or signed for service such as Royal Mail's Special Delivery.
For other international buyers I have added postage costs to the listings.
Please contact me using my email tjrtrading@hotmail.co.uk or through the contact details section on my listings as I am often out sourcing stock and am unable to answer my telephone. I can answer any questions much better by email.
