This is a George IV hallmarked sterling silver tankard. It was assayed in Sheffield in 1936/7 and made by Viner's Ltd.

It is of simple form with a glass bottom. It is hallmarked both to the side of the tankard and also to the base. It is a good solid & heavy piece.

The tankard is 13cm tall and weighs 580g. It is in good general condition but there are some surface marks and scratches.
