Description

This is a mid Victorian hallmarked sterling silver and ivory presentation trowel form cake slice.

It was assayed in London in 1860/1 and made by Elizabeth and John Eaton.

It has ornately engraved scrolling acanthus leaf and exotic bird detail to the blade, and carving to the handle.

It weighs 320g.

It is in good condition overall. The only fault apart from very mild wear associated with an item of it's age is that the piece that would sit on the tip of the handle is missing.
