London 1921 Solid Silver Cornucopia Horn with Chain

Description

London 1921 unusual English hallmarked solid silver cornucopia horn with chain. Also called a horn of plenty, this horn has since early Greece been a symbol of abundance and prosperity.

With the original chain, and weighing 35 grams, this well crafted piece is a great addition to the collection of the novelty silver collector, or an outstanding Christmas ornament.

Maker is Godfrey Bell and Godfrey Ltd., first registered in 1920 with Goldsmiths Hall.

It would also make a great wedding gift, as a good luck wish for a prosperous marriage.

A beautiful and symbolic piece.

Size-5 inches long by 1.25 inches wide.

Weight-35 grams.

In very good condition.
