Description

A rare item of sewing interest, this is a charming silver bodkin and hallmarked case. The bodkin is marked 'silver and the case is fully hallmarked for the first year of King George V. The case is of flattened tubular form, with a pull off lid and attaching ring to the lid. A lovely item, both collectable and usable.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents, splits or holes.

Hallmarks :- Full set to case and matching part set to lid. Bodkin is marked 'silver'.

Date :- Birmingham 1911.

Maker :- Thomas Henry Vale.
