Antique Victorian Silver Claret Ewer

This wonderful solid sterling silver claret jug or ewer is in a classic style, with wooden finial and handle.
 
Clearly hallmarked on the side for Sheffield 1897 with the maker''s mark of Harrison Brothers & Howson.
 
The body is half-fluted and stands on a circular pedestal base. The crest on the side reads ''Veritas Vencit'' (Truth Prevails).
 
The silver is in excellent condition - any shadows or marks showing in the photographs are merely reflections.

Height: 24cm to top of finial.
