An Edwardian Miniature Book of Common Prayer with a Silver Cover Made by Charles Penny Brown

Description

This is an Edwardian miniature book 'The Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Holy Communion According to the Use of The Church of England.' It was printed by the Oxford University Press.

It has a hallmarked sterling silver front cover decorated with Joshua Reynold's angels. It was assayed in Birmingham in 1903/4 and made by Charles Penny Brown.

It is 6 by 4cm and weighs 28g.

It is not in very good codition. The front cover is totally detatched and the back cover is nearly as bad. There is writing in pen on the first page, and the silver is quite worn.
