Good George III London Silver Sweet Meat Basket. C. 1770

Description

Good 18th century George III Sterling silver sweet meat basket with hallmarks for London. Lovely shape basket of fretted design with swing handle. No liner.

There is wear to the base on the edges and corners otherwise it is in pretty good shape. The hallmarks to the base have been worn away but the hallmarks to the handle are still OK.

A nice piece of early silver.

SIZE; 6 1/2" by 5" by 4" high plus the handle.
