Description

A magnificent all French Art Deco plaque ring. The central round natural sapphire, rubover and milgrain set, is the most perfect, rich cornflower blue. Set within a square of twenty white and vibrant diamonds, with a further "floating" corner-cut square of calibre cut sapphires. The geometric uniformity of the top of the ring contrasts with the detailed floral gallery. Split fluer de lys shoulders and double-grooved band add the finish touches to this most beautiful of rings. Sublime.

Cut - Circular faceted sapphire to centre. Old mine / miner cut diamonds and calibre cut diamonds in teh surround.

Colour - Diamonds are F.

Clarity - Diamonds are VS. The sapphires are clean to the naked eye.

Carat - The central sapphire is approximately 0.70 carat, with a estimated 0.40 carat of sapphires in the surround. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.56 carat.

Circa - 1915.

Size - F (UK) or 3 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
