Antique Solid Silver Irish Ladle 1828

18th century
Description

This is a good quality, solid sterling silver ladle.

Hailing from the reign of George IV, it is very clearly hallmarked on the back of the handle for Dublin 1828, with the maker's mark of Samuel Neville.

The finial features a family crest of a lion rampant.

The silver is in excellent condition, with no splits or dents. This ladle has clearly been used - there are a number of surface abrasions - but it is in excellent condition given its age. It is not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the photographs is simply a reflection of the camera flash.

Dimensions:

Weight: 50g

Length: 18cm

Post and packaging are free within the UK via Royal Mail special delivery. Overseas buyers please e-mail for postage costs. Thank you.
