Superb Edwardian Silver Chain-mail Handbag. 1910

Description

SUPERB Edwardian Sterling silver chain-mail handbag by Payton, Pepper & Sons, Ltd. Birmingham. 1910. Very good condition for one of these with no damage at all. Very nicely fretted and engraved front part with plain back part but unusually both halves are hallmarked. The chain also looks to be silver.

On the plain back part there are initials plus the date of 25/12/11 when it was obviously given as a Christmas present. One of the nicest I've seen.
