Antique Silver Victorian Tea Caddy 1890

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a good quality, heavy tea caddy.

Assayed in Sheffield in 1890, with the maker''s mark for Thomas Bradbury & Sons.

It is bulbous in shape, with a half-fluted design. The roped edges are pretty, as is the fluted lid and wooden finial.

The lid is hinged and the hinge is in good working order. There is a small chip to the base of the wooden finial. The lid has a partial hallmark on the inside. The caddy is not gilded, although the pictures may suggest that it is - this is just a reflection of the camera flash.

Dimensions:

Weight: 217g

Base: 9cm by 7cm

Height to top of finial: 11cm
