Description

A striking and generously proportioned crossover ring, featuring a glowing white diamond and a fantastically bright light blue natural sapphire. Six rose cut diamonds (three either side) are set in the shoulders. There's something endearing quirky about this fine piece; the mix of gold colours; the contrast in the gems cuts; the juxtapostion between the sapphire and the diamond. A Gatsby favourite.

Cut -The diamond is a transitional round. The sapphire is faceted round cut. The diamonds in the shoulders are rose cuts.

Colour - Diamonds are F; colourless.

Clarity - The diamond is SI2; the sapphire is loupe clean.

Carat - Each of the two main stones is approximately 1.00 carat. A further 0.40 carat of rose cuts is in the mount.

Circa - 1940.

Size - L 1/2 (UK) or 7.5 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements - The dimensions of the two stones is 13.5mm by 6.7mm and sits 5.8mm from the finger.

Metal - The band is rose gold. The sapphire is set in yellow gold and the diamonds are in white gold. Tested.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
