Antique English Silver Pocket Vesta Case, 1876

Description

An English Victorian sterling silver pocket vesta case.

The case measures 54mm high x 35mm, and it weighs 31.2g.

The front of the vesta has the initials LCSS and the reverse has hallmarks for Birmingham 1876, with the maker's mark for the Birmingham silversmith Lawrence Emanuel. There is some unevenness to the front and back of the vesta, and, as with many vesta cases, indentations to the corners.
