The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It was made by silversmiths Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes, who traded as Synyer & Beddoes.

Each of the separate pieces is hallmarked with the lion passant mark and the letter 'e' for 1904.
The snake head handle is securely attached to the body of the lighter.
