Antique Silver Table Lighter 1904

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a classic 'Aladdin's Lamp' solid sterling silver table lighter, clearly hallmarked for Birmingham Assay Office and dated 1904.

It was made by silversmiths Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes, who traded as Synyer & Beddoes.

Each of the separate pieces is hallmarked with the lion passant mark and the letter 'e' for 1904.

The snake head handle is securely attached to the body of the lighter. Other than the snake and the twisted handle to the wick holder, the design in plain and elegant - a lovely piece.

Length: 14.3cm
