Superb William IV Solid Silver Tea Strainer. Hallmarked London 1832

This stunningly presented William IV solid silver tea strainer is fully hallmarked London 1832. It has a fully functioning spout clip and a gilt interior in excellent condition, it was designed to swing freely from the spout to catch the tea leaves,an ingenious little item.

Weighing approximately 17.5g, the strainer bowl is approximately 4.4cm across and 1.5cm deep. The hallmarks are clear although the makers mark is less so. In general this piece is in very good condition and a rather unusual item.

This would make a fabulous addition to any Silver collection or perhaps as an unusual and different Christmas present for a tea lover.
