Description

An astonishing brooch. This is big, striking and extremely impressive. It somehow becomes more and more beautiful the more you look at it. The carved tourmaline leaves are masterpieces of workmanship. Highlight by seven white diamond "dew drops" and held together by a very lively white opal bud. The back of the brooch is almost as beautiful as the front, with intricate golden leaf veins acting as the basket for the tourmaline leaves. Astounding.

Cut - The diamond are old mine / miner cuts.

Colour - Diamond are G.

Clarity - Diamond are VS. Some internal flaws are visible in the tourmaline, but this is to be expected in stones of these dimensions.

Carat - The tourmaline is conservatively guaged at 125 (one hundred and twenty-five) carat. The opal is approximately 2.50 carat and the toal diamond weight is estimated at 2.00 carat.

Circa - 1940.

Condition - Excellent.

In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
