Solid Silver Vesta Case. Hallmarked Chester 1899.

Here we have a beautiful solid Silver Vesta case. Fully hallmarked Chester, 1899 this is a beautiful curved Vesta with leaf engravings on the front and back. This case also features a vacant cartouche in the shape of a shield - ideal for engraving.

The hallmarks are clear and bare the makers mark of ‘Charles Lyster & Son’. There is gold gild on the inside of the lid and although this has been worn, it is still visible.

Weighing approx 28g an measuring 4.4 x 4.5 cm (1.7 x 1.7 inches) This is a stunning piece which would be a fabulous addition to any Vesta case collection or indeed as a Christmas present.
