Victorian Hallmarked Silver Sugar Basket by Fenton Brothers

Description

This is a Victorian hallmarked sterling silver sugar basket. It was assayed in Sheffield in 1877/8 and made by Fenton Brothers.

It has a swing handle, a beaded edge, ornate engraved decoration and is raised on an oval foot.

There are a few dents to the side and the foot has been slightly crushed.

It weighs 238g and is 17cm long.
