Wonderful Quality Japanese Silver and Enamel Vase Signed "Gyokumin

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this magical Japanese silver and enamel vase that in our opinion would not look out of place in the Khalili collection,the slender cloisonne enamelled tapered neck leads down to a bulbous central body that has been formed out of fine silver wire basket work the sides of which are decorated with enamelled crysanthemums and foliage , the front and rear solid silver cartouches are hand hammered and decorated with the finest possible enamelling, standing on a further enamelled silver lobed trefoil foot beneath which is the signature seal for a master craftsman that apparently reads GYOKUMIN , a wonderful museum quality piece of Japanese metalwork!!
