The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the 1860s.
There is also a partial hallmark inside the lid.
The piercing design is good and in excellent condition. The lid is decorated with flowers and leaves with a crest in the middle, now slightly soft with over enthusiastic cleaning.
The blue glass liner is in excellent condition.
