19th Century Seed Pearl Brooch

Description

This is a fine example of a Victorian seed pearl brooch dating from the middle of the 19th century. It has a gilt metal pin and the seed pearls are attached to the mother of pearl mount with what appears to be silk thread. This type of brooch was considered a suitable bridal gift in the 1800s. It is in excellent condition.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
