Description

A Chippendale style Mahogany Partners’ Desk/Library Table

Quality was obviously the maker’s watchword when this desk was produced in the 1920s. The drawers (five on each side) are all dovetailed back and front in solid mahogany with mahogany drawer bottoms, cleverly fitted to ensure any shrinkage over time would be compensated for in the construction.

It stands on cabriole legs carved with acanthus and ball and claw feet, the edges with finely carved gadrooned edges.

The table itself is in superb original condition with no wear to the drawers or runners, and retaining all its original handles.

Dimensions: 61” wide x 41” deep x 31” high
