Sheffield 1896 Set of 9 Solid Silver Handled Victorian Knives with Shell Design.

Description

Sheffield 1895-96 Victorian English hallmarked solid silver handled set of 9 knives. The blades are stainless steel.

The lovely handles have a design of feathered and threaded edges with a shell and foliate design. Although exactly the same knives, 4 bear the makers marks of Henry Harrison of Harrison Brothers and Howson, and the other 5 are marked by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. (William Gibson and John Lawrence Langman).

Size-7 1/8 inches long.

Weight-270 grams total for shipping.

A very pretty and useful set of knives. Good for butter, cheese, fruit or dessert.

With some signs of being used for over 115 years, these are in very good condition overall.
