Antique Silver Table Magnifying Glass - William Comyns

19th century
Description

A magnificent table magnifying glass by the highly collectable silversmith, William Comyns.

Clearly hallmarked on the glass surround for London 1896.

The handle is heavily and intricately detailed with repoussee work of leaves and swags whilst the glass itself has a plain, smooth surround.

There are two very small dents alongside the hallmark and one slightly longer(about 4mm)and deeper on the rim of the glass. Other than that, the silverwork and glass are in excellent condition.

Overall, a very nice piece.

Dimensions:

Length: 22cm

Diameter: 10cm

Post and packaging is free within the UK via Royal Mail special delivery. Overseas buyers please e-mail for postage costs. Thank you.
