Description

Very old and very rare panel pendant. Hand carved in ivory with a depiction of Mary holding the Baby Jesus. Lovely, intricate workmanship. All surrounded by little rose cuts diamonds. A treasure from bygone times. The hoop is has the makers mark W&C and is stamped with a bell - obviously the original jeweller's signature stamp.

Cut - Rose cuts.

Clarity - Extremely clean rose cuts. VS - SI

Carat - A total for 54 diamonds surround the panel, with a further five in the hoop. A total estimated diamond wieght of 1.20.

Circa - 1830.

Condition - Some slight discolouration to the ivory (which is to be expected.) Otherwise, in perfect condition.

Measurements - The panel, minus the hoop, is 25mm by 18mm.

Metal - Diamonds are set in silver. The ivory is set in yellow gold
