Description

A superb silver caster in the Arts & Crafts style, by the great A E Jones. This wonderful example has a planished baluster shaped body, with a decorative band around the centre featuring flower motifs. The collar has rope twist edging and the pull-off lid has foliar motifs. A wonderful and eye-catching piece by one of the great names in Arts & Crafts design.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits.

Hallmarks :- Full, clear set to body and matching part set to lid.

Date :- Birmingham 1914.

Maker :- A E Jones.

Height :- 12.5 cms.

Diameter :- 7 cms. (widest point).

Date of Manufacture

Jeff Sims Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
