Fine Victorian Silver & Engraved Glass Claret Jug

Description

FINE Victorian solid Sterling silver and engraved glass claret jug. Lovely shape glass which is beautifully engraved with a large star base.

Solid silver handle is a nice shape and is also pleasantly decorated. Top with acorn shape finial, large spout and hinged lid which reveals "cupids bow" decoration to the silver beneath.

Sorry my photography really doesn't do this justice, it is far better than the pictures suggest.

Made by WILLIAM RICHARD CORKE. LONDON 1894

SIZE; 11" high. 4 1/2" diameter at the base.
