Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.

They are decorated with garlands, ribbons and bows and trimmed with a beaded edging.
The arms are of course removable as are the drip pans for easy cleaning, this then leaves you with a very elegant pair of column candlesticks for a less formal occasion.

We recently (and miraculously) found a pair of smaller candlesticks with circular drip trays rather than square) in the same design and undoubtedly made by the same silversmith, all unmarked. These are shown in the last two photographs and are sold separately (item 35868), I would encourage these to be purchased at the same time to create a rarely found and highly sought-after suite.

The candelabra remain in excellent condition and are ready for use, Victorian in era dating to around 1880.
They tower 18" tall and span 13 1/2" across with a square footprint measuring 5". Once the arms are removed, the column candlesticks stand 12 1/2" tall.
