Antique Sterling Silver & Tortoiseshell Hand Mirror 1924

1900 - 1920
Description

A very pretty tortoiseshell-backed hand mirror with solid sterling silver surround.

The inside of the handle is plain silver and is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1924, with the maker's mark of Alexander Clark & Co Ltd.

The tortoiseshell is in fairly good condition, with one small nick at the base of the handle, as can be seen in the photographs.

The silver has three small dings around the sides, presumably where it has been dropped, but other than that, it is very good, with a pretty design around the front of the mirror and the back of the handle and the mirror is firmly attached.
