Antique Solid Silver Apostle Dessert Spoon Set 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a gorgeous boxed set of sterling silver apostle dessert spoons, complete with sugar tongs and sugar sifter.

The spoons and sifter have a shell design with beautifully gilded bowls.

The maker's mark of James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin)is clear on the back of each bowl, with the Assay Office mark of Sheffield 1905.

The sugar tongs have an apostle on each handle and feature the same shell design.

Dimensions:

Spoon and Sifter Spoon Length: 10.5cm

Sugar Tongs Length: 9cm

Total Silver Weight: approx. 66g.

The box is original and is in good condition overall. It is showing some signs of wear at the corners and is slightly damaged where the clasp closes, although this does not stop the box closing tightly.

Post and packaging is free within the UK via Royal Mail special delivery. Overseas buyers please e-mail for postage costs. Thank you.
