Description

Holy moly! Wonderfully bonkers and exceptionally bold, this amazing ring is a definite conversation starter (and, if you were to clump someone over the head with it, a definite conversation ender as well!) A veritable bolder of an amethyst that displays the perfect rich, regal purple. The amethyst stone has itself been set with 35 rose cut diamonds, arranged a sort of "target" motif with fine enamel work. Mounted in a specially made "double crown" gallery; a playful ring which is seriously well made. We will never, ever find another one like this...

Cut - Round cut amethyst and rose cut diamonds

Colour - Diamonds are I colour.

Clarity - Amethyst is clean and clear. Diamonds are SI.

Carat - Impossible to weigh the amethyst accurately without destroying the ring, but we gauge it at approximately 25 carat. Total estimated diamond weight is 0.73 carat.

Circa - Fully date marked from the London Assay office, 1908.

Condition - Some light scratches to the gold consistent with the ring's age. Can easily be polished out if you prefer.

Size - Currently G 1/2 (UK) or 3 3/8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements - The amethyst, included the setting, measures 24.6mm by 24.6mm and sits 12.5mm from the finger.

Metal - Fully hallmarked 18k gold.

Maker's Mark - JG

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
