Stunning Pair of Ivory and Silver Knife Rests

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a beautiful pair of knife rests made circa 1920.

Very solidly made, the ivory knife rests are firmly secured by a silver band which screws into the base. The base is oval in shape, extensively carved and the top slightly stepped. The silver has a floral central band with further decorations to each side.

They are in excellent condition and without any damage.

There are no hallmarks on the silver, not altogether unusual when a silversmith has made a piece for friends or family.

Width: 8cms

Height: 3cms
