Antique Silver Vinaigrette Joseph Willmore 1830

Description

This is a lovely sterling silver vinaigrette made by the renowned silversmith Joseph Willmore.

It is clearly hallmarked on the inside of the lid and again underneath the gilt grill for Birmingham 1830. As can be seen in the photographs, there is a small repair on the date mark of the hallmark inside the lid but this cannot be seen from the outside and so does not detract from the overall quality of the item.

The vinaigrette has a sunburst pattern on the top, with an intricate border. The base is decorated with a simple flower.

The leaf-patterned grill is gilded and there is a light gilding inside both the lid and the base.
