Elegant Solid Silver Antique George 111 Cream Jug 1768

Description

This is a beautiful and elegant piece of solid, sterling silver, in very good condition.

The jug takes a baluster form with a pedestal foot. The foot has a crimped, pie crust edging to match the top rim.

The handle has a leaf design and is securely fitted to the body of the jug.

The hallmarks are to the side of the handle and are quite clear for London 1768 although the maker's mark is rubbed. The front of the jug is engraved WB.

Dimensions:

Height: 9.25cm excluding handle and spout

Diameter: 5cm

Weight: approx 65g.

A lovely and practical item.
