Art Deco Style Solid Silver Sauce Boat 1934

1920 - 1940
Description

Gorgeous Art Deco style solid silver sterling sauce/gravy boat.

The fluted pattern on the sides of the jug is reflected in the inside, The clean lines give the jug a classical feel. It sits well on its rectangular pedestal base.

The handle also has a small amount of fluting where it joins the body.

It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1934 with the maker's mark of GM&S.

The height ranges from 6 cm to 8cm and in length, the jug measures 17 cm from spout to the edge of the handle. It weighs 150g.

An excellent, heavy sauce boat.
