Antique Silver Bright Cut Caddy Spoon 1808

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a lovely ornate solid sterling silver caddy spoon, made by silversmith John Bettridge, during the reign of George III.

It is in excellent condition. The rectangular decoration is crisp in the bowl of the spoon and it surrounds the initials EKT.

The hallmarks are on the reverse of the bowl are slightly rubbed, although certainly clear enough to make out the Assay Office of Birmingham, the date of 1808 and the maker''s mark for John Bettridge.

A fine example of a caddy spoon.
