Description

What initially catches your eye about this ring is the exquisite diamond. Very bright, very clean, and looking much larger than its 1.26 carat. Cleverly and unusually set on the diagonal makes even more of an eye catcher. Eight delicate claws leading down to slightly squared off shoulders set with eight (four either side) rose cut diamonds. I love this - but then, who couldn't?

Cut - Cushion shaped Old Mine / Miner Cut, with Rose Cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Colour - G.

Clarity - VS; very clean for an old cut stone.

Carat - Main diamond is 1.26 carat, with a further 0.16 carat in the shoulders.

Circa - 1920.

Condition - Signs of a repair to inside of the band where the gold meets the platinum. This has been fully checked and in no way effects the integrity of the band.

Size - Currently L (UK) or 5 1/2 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements - The head of the ring measures 7mm by 7mm and sits 5.6mm from the finger.

Metal - The bottom half of the band is 18k yellow gold. Everything else is platinum. Unmarked, but tested.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
