Description

This fantastic ring is a prime example of late Victorian jewellery style. Between the three wonderful sapphires are two rows of double diamond spacers. The filigree detailing in the gallery and down the shoulders is craftmanship you just don't see in modern rings. Pieces like this are getting harder and harder to find these days, especially in this condition.

Cut - Oval cut sapphires and old diamonds.

Colour - The sapphire are a sumptuous royal blue. The diamonds are G colour.

Clarity - All the stones are VS.

Carat - The central sapphire is approximately 0.65 carats. The two outer sapphires are around 0.35 carats each, so a total estimated sapphire carat weight is 1.35. The four diamonds are roughly 0.04 carats each; 0.16 carat total.

Circa - Hallmarked Birmingham 1901.

Condition - Light surface scratches, but, in great condition for something so old.

Size - Current size is N 1/2 (UK) or 6 3/4 (US). Complementary resizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements - Band is 2mm at the bottom and tapers out to 6mm at the top.

Metal - Clearly hallmarked as 18k (yellow) gold.
