19thc Pair of Very Good Quality Pierced Silverplate Fish Servers in Original Case.

Description

19th century very good quality pair of fish servers in original case comprising a knife with foliate pierced blade , and a fork with pierced heel. Both have lovely solid engraved handles designed as buds emerging from bloom.

In original fitted case, which is quite scuffed to exterior.

Still used to serve fish, but they are now also often used for serving cake and pie, and the fork for meat.

A unusually lovely and versatile pair in very good condition.
