Most striking is the quality of the stone; most antique diamonds have visible marks but this high white stone is very, very clean. With lovely but not over-the-top detailing on the band and gold that has aged to pretty rose colour. Wonderful!

Cut - Cushion shaped old mine cut.
Colour - I
Clarity - VS; this an extraordinarily clean for such an old diamond.
Carat - Approximately 0.50 carat.
Circa - 1830.
Condition - Remarkable. The only thing stopping this looking like it did nearly 200 years ago is the dirt that has worked its way in the nooks and crannies of the metal work. This can be easily cleaned out (by us if you would like) but we prefer the "history" clinging to this ring.
Size - Currently an Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements - 8mm wide at the widest point on the top
Metal - No internal marks, but test as 15k gold.
