Pair of late C19th French bronze and ormolu candlesticks raised on marble plinth bases. Louis XVI- style candelabras modelled as partially-draped cherubs or 'amorini' holding foliate branch candle-branches perched upon naturalistic ormolu supports. Octagonal facetted white marble bases with cylindrical centres and ormolu decoration, raised on compressed ribbed ormolu feet. Well-cast chased ormolu candle-holders. In excellent condition , the ormolu retaining its original bright gilding. H 17" x Base 5" x 5". France c.1880
